Bengal Cat Picture Gallery

This is a Bengal cat picture gallery collected from two contrasting sources. The first is a selection of Helmi Flick photographs. Helmi is a professional photographer. The selection has not been made from the very best of her photos because you can see those by searching on this site using the custom search. The selection has been made from those photos that visitors are less likely to have seen, in my opinion. Although her photographs have become increasingly well known in part due to this site.

Please note that Helmi allows me to publish her photographs here on a special basis. In part it is because PoC has given thousands of dollars to cat charities over the last 5 years including one close to her, Texas Main Coon Rescue. Her photos are protected by copyright. Please respect it.

The other Bengal cat pictures are a selection from amateur photographs picked more or less at random from Flickr. They are pictures taken in less formal surroundings and for that reason more “normal”. I think it nice to see this most glamorous of purebred cats in day to day situations. I have improved these photos using Photoshop.

The pictures in the gallery below are thumbnails. You can click on them to see large format versions that are fully formatted together with a short description and thoughts.

A major reason why I am including picture galleries is because they should be good for PoC. Google expects me to publish pictures of cats, unsurprisingly. They help Google to rank other pages better I feel. In turn that helps the cat because there is lots of stuff on PoC that supports the cat.

Also the software on this site allows me to create picture galleries easily.

  1. Thanks for the beautiful pictures of the Bengal cat, a cat i have personally never ever seen although it carries an Indian name.

  2. Funny, I was just thinking about the growth cycle of the Bengals yesterday. Someone had posted a pix of two wild looking cats thinking they were wildcats of some time. I was suspicious because of the markings and the size. I could be wrong, but my gut told me they were probably Bengal kittens. 🙂 Here’s a link to the pix. Feel free to follow any of my Pinterest boards you find of interest…. http://pinterest.com/pin/245727723389791708/

CanIHasACheezburger.com has a ‘Reader Skee’ section. Whomever is writing the copy on these pix knows nothing about animals. She had a cougar cub marked as a cheetah or some weird thing. There were other species she misidentified. When will people learn — write/work on something you have at least a little knowledge about. Drives me nuts.

Facebook is giving away $50 of free advertising for anyone with a Facebook page. This had led to a certain number of trick-ads. Sometimes babies or kittens, but mostly sexy stuff just to get you to ‘Like’ the key is you don’t even have to go to the page. So all these idiots are blind liking. Crazy stuff. Be wary friends.

    • Thanks for the comment Dan. The “wild cats” might in fact be Black-footed kittens because they are in a zoo environment judging by the picture. The Black-footed cat does look similar to the Bengal kitten because the Asian leopard kitten (wild cat ancestor is the Asian leopard cat) is not dissimilar. I totally understand where you are coming from though. The thing that stands out for me is the spotted tabby coat against a rather course (by domestic cat standards) yellow background. The spots are solid and very typically Black-footed cat but….it is easy for me to get these things wrong!
