Hello to all lion vs tiger fans, here are some reasons that attest that a male lion is a winner in 9 of 10 fights (comparing African lion to any type of tiger even Siberian tiger).
In a fight a tiger goes only for a neck bite or they always punch the face. A male lion has a mane which protect him from a neck bite and can dodge many swipes of a tiger just as mohhamed ali did it always!
A lion has the swipe technique too but with a difference. A lion’s forelegs are much stronger than those of a tiger. Althought, a tiger may have more muscles in his back legs.
But the very important point is this: a lion tries not only to land some bites into the neck, but almost tries to bite over the back legs (spine), which immediately leads to invalidity of his opponent.
You can see this technique in many videos. Because of this, after some seconds the tiger retreats to save himself from injury to allow to to continue to hunt.
And now some facts about length, height and weight:
— A wild Bengal tiger may reach up to 250 kg in the wild.
— An african lion (male) can reach this too or even 270 kg in the wild.
Only the Siberian tiger can surpass an African lion in weight but this only due to a fat layer and not having more muscles.
— There are African lions that have the same length as Siberian tigers.
— And finally the height of an African male lion can only be surpassed by the Siberian tiger now and then.
In a fight between an African male lion and siberian tiger(male)the tiger has no stamina due to his weight consisted only on a fat layer.
After a few seconds it would try to retreat but if there is no way to escape it will be killed by the lion. Lions fight for almost more than 30 minutes. The heat of the African weather makes the lions more resistant and gives them higher Stamina.

NEW I like the lion more, i know they usally lose in a fight my sister hates me 4 liking lions more than tigers they to me look more fierce! i love them but i see those tigers in the zoo laying like logs, lions hugerly staving to it’s death it is sad why have them fight in the first place, they live in the areas they do so that they would never meet now fuck tards are putting them together not smart |

A lot of people get confused because the koreans and chines(and this is a fact I know i lived there) pit a large fed properly tiger against either an ill or undefed lion. This got the tiger some wins but It is hardly fair. Dont be fooled by eastern propaganda even sick and underfed lions won more than half the fights. It is also priven that a tiger will almost always retreat. As tigerpedia says plainly tiger fights are almost all bluff because if a tiger is injured even if it wins it loses. |

Very interesting facts sohail, but, tragically both these big cats are facing extinction in their native habitats.I presume that within a decade the tiger might become extinct in its natural forested region of India which is the only country to still have a lion and tiger existing within its geaographical boundaries.Tha “Asiatic lion” of Gir Forests in India could be wiped out anytime if an epidemic sets in since they are confined to a single geographical location within India. As for the African lion, they are also facing habitata loss and extinction from certain regions. “Zoological Parks” seem to be the last resort of these beautiful cats. |
