F2B Savannah cat with Servaline spotted pattern

I have a beautiful F2B Savannah cat with Abyssinian in her cross. Many of the cats in this line, including my Aleiah, were born with a very rare Servaline spotted pattern. It is believed that it is the ticked coat of the Aby that has brought out this amazing spotting!

The Servaline spotted Serval is quite rare and only a few photos have been found of this wild cat. It is very exciting to be able to breed this into the Savannah cats and, with it, some of the other wonderful Abyssinian qualities!

It has certainly made me a fan of the Aby... such a remarkable breed and such an elegant type! They truly look like the Egyptian statues IMHO!

My girl is almost one year old and she is incredibly sweet and docile. She has retained that long lean look and this is also, I believe, owing to her Grandmother, the Aby!

One day I hope to have a purebred Abyssinian to add to our household 🙂

Aleiah's such a beautiful girl, you can see the Aby in her...=)

I love the Servaline spotting, I didn't know Servals could come in Servaline. Is a bit like the King Cheetahs?

  3. As I know it has nothing to do with the genes of the abessynian. I saw a amount number of Savannahs breed to ticked tabby cats. No showed singhs ot the servaline pattern. But I have a Singapura-oriental Shorthair king. He shows this type of servaline pattern. But: no Serval or savannah was breed to him. I made researches and: This type of pattern is simply one form of the spotted gene. Some modifier seem to akt along with the ticked tabby gene. But it has nothing to do with the type of breed.

  4. I have been looking for a cat exactly like this for the past 3 years. Is there no way you could help me find another like your beautiful darling? I always have loved the cheetah spotted look since I was a little girl…. It would be a dream come true to have one of this saintly cats.

    • Hi Sarah. The article was written a few years ago unfortunately. I don’t know if you can try and contact Mary, the author of the article. I would Google “F2B Savannah cat with Servaline spotted pattern” Google will find this page first but also others and you may get lucky. The F2 Savannah is just as good and more like a cheetah because the legs are longer.

      Thanks for visiting.
