This is Jody, a beautiful new mother currently in the care of Nine Lives Foundation in Redwood City, California. Jody recently gave birth to four kittens and has just taken in two more orphaned babies on Wednesday.
The dark gray tabbies were found cold and alone on a sidewalk. With nowhere else to go, as shelters do not routinely rescue newborn orphaned bottle babies, they were brought to the no-kill shelter by a Good Samaritan.
Cats are often accepting of kittens who are not their own and take them in and raise them.
JODY, the beautiful young grey mom seen yesterday with her 4 kittens has just taken in 2 more ORPHANED KITTENS today as if they were her own….check out the beautiful dark grey tabbies found cold & alone on a sidewalk, feeling at home with Jody & their 4 step-brothers & sisters 🙂 Cats are often very accepting of other abandoned kittens and take on multiple orphans without hesitation. The orphans (from Castro Valley) had no where else to go as shelters do not routinely rescue orphaned bottle babies….so they wère brought to Nine Lives Foundation in Redwood City, proud to be a no-kill shelter.
