THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN BY VOTING ON THIS WEBSITE IN LARGE NUMBERS IN FAVOR OF TRADITIONAL SIAMESE CATS.

This website's poll on whether people prefer Traditional or Modern Siamese cats has shown that people overwhelmingly prefer Traditional Siamese cats.

77% PREFER THE TRADITIONAL AND 23% THE MODERN

The poll has been going for about 6 months. The important thing is this. These are real votes. These are individual votes. This is not a faked scheme dreamed up by me to try and prove a point.

All the votes are checked by me to ensure that they are genuine and that multiple votes are not being made. I then put the numbers into a Google spreadsheet and embed the code for it into the website.

Yes, I do prefer the Traditional Siamese cat as this breed of cat is more natural, less created and you know the Modern Siamese cat looks as if humankind had a very big say in her creation. Nature wouldn't create a cat like the Modern Siamese; too fragile. But it is vital that the votes are genuine.

The poll is still open and will stay open indefinitely. Let's go for 1000 votes and let's see if we can change things. Update: After well over 1000 votes the percentage is still the same (December 2008).

Traditional Siamese cats were ostracized for decades and still are by the biggest cat registry, the CFA - strange isn't it? You can see how the Modern Siamese cat came about by reading about Siamese cat history.

I believe that the breed standards and the judging at shows should be adjusted to gradually bring Siamese cats back to the way they were; natural, normal and beautiful.
