In the cat world cat, lovers frequently announce the passing of their beloved cat companion. Visitors, if they feel inclined to do so, can click the Facebook “Like” button. In clicking that button they are not saying that the like the passing of a loved cat. They are showing their support for the person and praising the post. The Like button won’t be joined by a Dislike button but a range of alternative sentiments.

“You don’t want to go through the process of sharing some moment important to you in your day, and have someone down-vote it, said Mark Zuckerberg, the boss of Facebook.

Zuckerberg said:

“If you’re sharing something that’s sad, whether its something in current events, like the refugee crisis, that touches you or if a family member passed away, then it might not feel comfortable to like that post. But your friends want to be able to express that they understand and that they relate to you. I do think it is important to give people more options to emote and share their feelings on a post.”

Many users dislike the “Like” button. There will be no Dislike button however.
