The Paw Project Movie has come fifth in the Awareness Guide Top Transformational Films of 2013 Viewer’s Choice. The top ten are as follows:

- More Than Honey
The Viewer’s Choice Award winners were selected from the votes of over 15,000 people from more than 50 countries. It was very competitive. These are excellent films made with passion.
The Paw Project Movie was also awarded runner prize in the 2013 Impact Award. The winner was a movie about captive Orcas, which I am pleased about because the life of a killer wale at SeaWorld is miserable.
This is the trailer on YouTube of the Paw Project Movi. Jennifer says “…we start Netflix in the US, Canada and the UK on June 1. :)” It is going to be available online, internationally through Netflix, as I understand that.
It was an awesome effort to make this movie and for it to be recognised and praised. The next phase in the declawing saga is to see this transformational movie make some inroads into changing a culture which sees declawing as acceptable. It can’t be. There are signs of change in the right direction.

How heart-breaking it is to see those cats, large and small. limping around on deliberately mangled paws, how can anyone do that to them? I’m glad this film has been recognised and I hope that it’s message is spread far and wide amongst the ignorant and unfeeling who think it’s acceptable to adapt an animal for their own convenience. I admire Dr Conrad so much for her work, she must have wept buckets of tears at the things she has seen.

I feel quite privileged to be part of the fight against it. I think we represent the entire European contingent of anti-declaw campaigners 😉
The more backing Jennifer gets, the stronger the cause gets.

I’m so glad the Paw Project movie has been recognised in the top films, thank you all PoCers who voted for it.
Yes there are changes in the right direction thank goodness but it must be so frustrating to those working so hard for this cause, that some vets still advertise and encourage declawing and some people still even for all the evidence of how cruel it is, think it’s acceptable.
I can hardly wait for the day declawing is banned worldwide!
I think all of us voted. I admire Jennifer tremendously for her staying power. It is a slow process. It is hard to change a culture.
