This is a five-page infographic (links at base of each page) on ten reasons for cat abandonment and preventions. Obviously in an ideal world there should be no cat abandonments. Ultimately prevention almost always comes down to human behaviour barring the occasional event which is beyond the cat caregiver’s control. But even those can be prevented sometimes with planning and foresight. I am being hard on people but this site is about cat welfare. There is an ongoing and pressing need to improve cat and animal welfare. It is down to us to achieve it.
