Looking through old photos of our cats always makes me laugh because I come across so many where they are so very innocently amusing.
Cats are such natural comedians.
The pictures in the poster were taken a few years ago, Walter’s friend and passenger was rehomed shortly after that when his people emigrated.
That day we were loading the car up with stuff to take up to Kays Hill and the cats decided to ‘help’. Walter was sat there on top of our car to supervise, monarch of all he surveyed, then he decided to try the driving seat. His little tongue is stuck out as if he’s concentrating on planning a trip out.
Jozef sat on the front garden wall, he said no way would he trust his brother driving him anywhere lol. I hasten to add for anyone concerned about the cats being around vehicles, we live in a quiet cul de sac and even so, they are never left out that way unsupervised.
Now had it been a trip to the vets they wouldn’t be so happy sitting in the car, but then they aren’t daft because they know those trips involve cat carriers coming down from the tops of the wardrobes.
All cat lovers know cats hate to be laughed at but they do love us to laugh with them. Both Walter and Jozef have us in stitches when they run at a ball or a cat nip mouse and try to ‘kick start’ it, they look just like someone starting up a motorbike lol.
Our night time ritual rounds our day off with their sense of humour. We always take a tray up with us, a cuppa each for us and our library books, so one of us gets loaded up, Walter runs ahead and Jozef waits for his ‘taxi’.
Well his latest joke is that when the first of us has gone struggling up with the loaded tray and the other goes to pick up Jozef, some nights he runs up himself lol and meets up with Walter and they do a celebratory round of the bedrooms, leaving the second of us downstairs with nothing to carry.
They are most definitely laughing at us, the rule that cats hate to be laughed at but love being laughed with, obviously doesn’t work both ways lol.
No one can stay depressed for very long with cats around, that’s for sure.

ollie does the same thing but the difference being she dos’nt get down so easy, once up on your shoulder se dos’nt see any good reason to get down again and will hang on with all she’s got!! not too bad in the winter when you’re wearing more skins than an onion, but summer tends to be painful. lol. what would we do without them?
Tabitha sounds gorgeous Leanne and will make someone’s home a very happy place full of laughter, with her.
We had a cat called Bert years ago who used to sit on our shoulders as a kitten, he would run up whatever we were wearing and sit upright lol I have a photo somewhere of Babz all dressed and ready to go to work and with a kitten sitting there on her shoulder.
