Jaguarundi in Peru

Jaguarundi in Peru. I have used

Jaguarundi in Peru. Rare and really nice photograph of the strange looking jaguarundi. This cat was difficult to classify by scientists. I think at one time they even thought that it was not in the cat family (Felidae). It has different color coats from dark brown/grey to red brown and long hind legs. Its face is not that of a conventional cat! It is small in relation to the body size. Americans see this wild cat species in Florida sometimes. There have been many sightings. There may a colony there – escaped captive cats perhaps? Read more on the jaguarundi
