Peruvian Ocelot Caught by Camera Trap

Peruvian Ocelot Caught by Camer Trap. Full frontal. The most startling thing about this photo for me is the cat’s coat. It is a wonderful coat. It is so impressive it has been the cause of its gradual destruction. People like it. The ocelot is a medium sized wild ca species just in the middle bracket on size. The margay, a smaller cat is sometimes mistaken for the ocelot because it too has a superb coat but it is a smaller cat and more of a tree dweller. Read more on the ocelot.
