Just took this photo about 40 minutes ago. It’s Charlie asking, nay demanding, breakfast and he is not altogether happy with what is already laid out for him in the kitchen.
As he has recently undergone an operation – dental cleaning and endoscopy¹ – under general anesthetic, he is being treated like a prince, which he looks and behaves like in this photo:

Note:
- The endoscopy in this instance was done to check the inside of his intestine and stomach. A camera is run up the intestine while the cat is under general anesthetic to check for the cause of bleeding. It appears he is all clear. I think the bleeding is caused by rough edged hair balls in the rectum.
I think we all know that the behaviorist would say this is a bad thing to do, but there has to be some wiggle room here. You both have had a traumatic experience [I’m thinking his was a bit worse] and you SHOULD coddle him for a time. Just as long as he is not eating better than you eat. Maybe you can eat the same food for a while. He is such a handsome boy. Sure hope he is OK. Keep us updated.
He is handsome and I think he knows it. Tiresome for his manservant.
Charles is such a handsome young man and he well deserves his chicken after what he went though.
Charlie says:
I love the photo of the recovered Charlie enjoying his convalesence with his very own man servant to grant him his every wish. It always amazes me how quickly cats recover from illness or anaesthetic procedures, they don’t dwell on things, just get on with their lives.
Yes I think Charlie and our boyz would get along well at a chicken party.
Jozef sends Charlie a message to say ‘Don’t worry about your bald patch on your arm, I had mine shaved and a bit of my neck too at the vets not that long ago but it’s all grown back as beautiful as it ever was’
Hmm, there might be a few cat-curses thrown in when the northern lads meet the southener, but I’m sure walter would drive them all to Sainsbury’s for the chicken in the end.
