A cat sleeping picture taken 15 minutes ago. There is a kind of a cult of cat sleeping pics. This one is not meant to be part of the cult.
I like it because of the shapes. Charlie likes to tuck his head into his chest. Then we have his glossy black coat that has a hint of rust in it. The mouth makes a straight white line. You can see he has some grey hair; a sign of old age. We think he is about 12 years of age. He is slowing down.
I am not saying it is a great photo – far from it. But I like him so I want to celebrate his presence and life. He was a really nice boy last night. He came to me when I asked him and he rested on my chest and provided me with what I needed, loving companionship.

Sleeping the sleep of the innocent eh? So are these two reprobates here, Walter and Jozef who don’t believe that humans should be allowed to sleep at night, only cats through the day. Both are zzzzzzing on their sides on each of our beds. Yawn…..
That is a beautiful photo of Charlie, sometimes simple natural ones are the best.
Just look at his lovely glossy coat! This photo makes me want to stroke him and hear him purr.
