Lions in a Tree

Lions in a Tree

Lions in a Tree.

Lions are ground dwellers but there are two places where they like to get above the ground: (1) One population can be found in Ishasha which is in the south sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda and (2) Lake Manyara region in Uganda and Southern Tanzania. Why do they like to spend the day in trees? It is thought that they are avoiding the tsetse flies and/or stay cooler.
