Happily Rehomed Rescue Cats

Rehomed rescue cats Poppy (left) and Dillon (right). Contentment!
This is a nice story. It is about two cats who were rescued and rehomed. They are happy in their new home. They have a good home, a very good home. You can tell by the pictures. Is there anything better in the world of cats than this? These are the most important things in the world of cats. These stories are about life and death, unhappiness and contentment. They are “micro-stories”. They aren’t in the newspapers. They are as important as the newspaper stories.

Rehomed rescue cat Poppy. At home. Amongst the birds…!
The story comes from Leanne of Kays Hill Animal Sanctuary in Durham, England. It concerns two cats they cared for who were renamed Dillon & Poppy. They found a new home for them and their new “owners” found them. Joint effort.
Dillon and Poppy’s new human caretakers/guardians, Paul and Linda, say the following about their new cat companions:
Hi, just thought you might like an update on Dillon & Poppy. Poppy was spayed in March & they started to go out a while after. Since then they’ve had a wonderful summer of fun. Dillon is such a softy & likes to come in every 20 minutes to check we’re still here while Poppy is the tomboy & likes an adventure.
Dillon gave us a scare by disappearing for a full day recently. He was eventually spotted in our neighbour’s house crying at the landing window to be out! He must have wandered in in the morning before they left the house & not been spotted. Thankfully a small window was open upstairs & we had to rescue him by ladder. We had some explaining to do when the neighbours came home 2 days later!
Luckily everyone thinks they’re gorgeous & friendly so all the neighbours look out for them now. They have become good friends with our other neighbour’s cat Maisy & often go in to steal her treats! Both of them love chasing flies.
It’s a year on Saturday since we lost our beloved old girl Sophie & we never thought we’d love another cat the way we loved her. But we really do…Paul & Linda
Dillon and Poppy are two fairly typical English cats. They like to use their space and they are outdoor/indoor cats.
