Adorable 8-month old FeLV exposed kitten needs home

Adorable, happy, sweet 8-month-old male kitten in need of a loving home.
Stray kitten found lounging at my apartment building on September 15th. My family had all intentions on taking him in, but unfortunately our visit to the veterinarian proved that it is not to be. This little guy has most likely been exposed to FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and because our household has two adult cats already, our vet advised against bringing him home. An IFA test was run September 16th and has come back negative, which may possibly mean he will end up fighting it off, but will need retesting in about a month or so. He is otherwise healthy and active.
My vet office and I are seeking a warm, loving pet parent that would welcome this absolute sweetheart of a kitten into their home. Due to the nature of his exposure and inherent risks involved, it is advised that the household not have cats already.
For more information, please contact this post at an*****@gm***.com. If you have any medical questions or concerns that need to be directed toward the veterinarian, please do not hesitate to contact this post. The kitten is currently resting comfortably at my veterinarian's Prospect Heights, Brooklyn-area practice. She has very graciously offered to keep him there for a few days, but he will need to find a home as quickly as possible. Very serious inquiries, please.
Thank you for your help!
Anne
