Aethon Needs a Permanent Home

We recently found a young (~8-9 month) male cat trying to eat in the dumpster at my friend’s apartment complex. She has 2 cats and a strict apartment so I took him home. He was loving, rubbing, playing and purring the whole way.
I kept him isolated from my 12 year old cat for the night. The next morning I had him tested and his test was positive for Felv, I was devastated. He was going to be the new companion to my 12 year old. We lost his brother in December after a long battle with cancer.
Aethon is a wonderful cat, who is now trapped living in my bathroom. This is very frustrating for him, he doesn’t know why he can’t be with us all of the time. He gets let out alone for a couple hours when I’m home.
We have arrangements to have him neutered and vaccinated with rabies. There are no shelters around me that will take him, and I can’t take care of him in my bathroom for much longer.
He is a DSH, orange tabby with orange eyes and a wonderful personality. We have been rather impressed with the amount of attention he commands.
