This is bizarre and sad. Blind Cat Rescue (BCR), an immensely popular organisation on Facebook, tell us in a recent post that Abby is now 20 years of age and nicely rehomed at BCR.
It is very strange that Abby was taken to Animal Control to be euthanised by her owners because ‘they didn’t want to be bothered anymore’ in the words of BCR. After all that time you’d think they could continue to take on the responsibility of caring for her. It seems very insensitive. I’d love to know the backstory to this cat abandonment. They just may be a good reason.
BCR intervened (I am not sure how that worked) and Abby is now safely ensconced at the rescue organisation. She ‘plays and runs and has a fantastic time’.
My guess is that BCR will look after her until she passes. Twenty-years-of-age is a very good age.
The photos are by BCR.

Old cats are precious. How could you have a pet for that long and then dump them because you don’t want to be bothered. They do not have giving hearts and should never be allowed another pet.
Thank gawd for BCR,special needs cats/kittens have always had a special spot in my heart.
Yes, I have a very big soft spot for cats like Abby.

God bless you for rescuing these beautiful kitties.no one should ever
