Allotment feral cat is so friendly now

Wanda rubbing against my leg

Wanda is one of the four feral cats I feed on my plot every day. She was neutered last month (so were all the others) and since then her confidence seems to have grown. While I prepare her food she rubs against my legs and when I put the food down I am able to stroke her lightly on her back.

As a person who is basically clueless when it comes to cats I feel very priviledged that she trusts me enough to do this and to let me stroke her.

All of our ferals are doing fine. They are fed in two seperate groups every day, three near our pavilion and four on my plot. They all have names, and all recognise me and the other person who feeds them regularly.

Now that they are all neutered (thanks to Cats Protection) they can enjoy their lives without the problem of kittens every year.

I'm so pleased they are happy. Kitty in the picture looks so pretty; beautiful colours.

You've done those cats such a service now they can live happily and healthily, well done.

Where city are you in?

We are trying to tackle the feral cat problem with innovative Feral Cat houses. Type in Feral Cat House on you tube and see what we are progressing towards.

We have done about 4 prototypes and are working on the perfect set up for ferals. It needs to be light and reasonably small so it ships. Can be made easily and must be waterproof and warm when hay is added.

We are getting close.

Hello Betty, lovely to hear from you again.
Well done on getting all those cats neutered and for looking after them too and getting them to trust you so much.
I wish everyone was as kind as you.

Hi Betty. I is nice to see that the lives of the allotment cats is settled and organised. I think you have done a fine job of looking after them.

Wanda is a calico cat as you probably know. They are nearly always female.

Thanks for updating us.
