In a word, No. Sorry for the blunt answer but it has to said. The Korat is like any other domestic cat. They create the allergen (Fel d1) and deposit it on their fur in saliva like any other. People might not realise it but there is a committed search online for a hypoallergenic cat breed. Unfortunately the search will not bear fruit.
As a cat breed, the Korat is quite rare. They don’t feature as one of the most popular breeds probably because a lot of people have not heared of the breed. They are exclusively blue in cat fancy language – grey in our language.
They are a very sweet cat, patient and loving. Gloria Stephens, an expert on the breeds, says that they are particularly good with children. They are also ‘extremely intelligent’.
They have a semi-cubby body type. The body is medium-sized, compact and muscular. The glossy and fine coat is short to medium in length.
