Cat at a veterinary clinic

Cat at a veterinary clinic

With the advent of independent veterinary practices in the UK being bought up by hedge funds and corporations the price of treatment has gone up dramatically because these owners demand profit above everything else whereas independently owned practices have as their first priority the quality of the service.

Some say that veterinarians have consistently undercharged, however.

Also, treatments are more sophisticated which cost more and expectations have risen because of these more advanced treatments.

Notwithstanding that, there is no doubt that when a big corporation or hedge fund owns an independent veterinary practice you will see increased prices without an increase in service quality.
