Beautiful kitten rescued from NC shelter after a neighborhood child intentionally broke her legs

Children should be taught to respect animals at a young age. Sometimes a child slips through the cracks due to bad parenting or bad genes or bad something or another that turns a once innocent child into an abuser.

Tris had both legs broken by a child

A North Carolina cat was the victim of such a child. Tris, an 8-week-old tortie beauty found her way to Cabarrus County Animal Control in Concord. A neighborhood kid broke BOTH of her femurs. Tris also ingested a large rock that could be seen on her x-ray.

Despite the injuries intentionally inflicted on her little body, Tris a very talkative and purrs every time you look at her.

This sweet kitten was rescued by Paw It Forward Animal Rescue. Tris has already been seen by a veterinarian and has a bright future ahead of her once she heals. Those who pledged to help with her medical expenses or are reading this article and wish to contribute are asked to send payment via PayPal to pawitforwardanimalrescue@gmail.com or use snail mail to Paw It Forward, PO Box 1215, Concord, NC 28026.

Sadly, this isn’t the first article I’ve done on children who abuse animals. Not only cats but also dogs, guinea pigs, and rabbits. Respected studies have already shown that most violent criminals started by abusing animals at an early age.

I hope the parents of this child take action. The child doesn’t deserve a pet and I fear for any animal brought into the home in the future.

  2. im apaulled that a child has done this . i am an fosterer an in 3 years i have fostered 53 kittens. my young grandchilden have always had hands on with these babies, an they are so gentle, even the youngest who is 2. I dont believe that this poor kitten was held by the child an broke its legs on its own. the kitten would not have sat without someone else holding it. ,You know the more i hear of things like this happening to animals ,the more i am disgusted, this happens far to often these days ,

  3. This horrible aspect of our society is at the top of my list of things to do once I become ruler of Earth… put this at the top of everyone’s list! I’ve seen mothers allowing their children to abuse animals. I would show NO mercy for parents guilty of this, and the child would get ONE chance to learn to behave properly… one! No second offenses would be tolerated and I do not hesitate to say I would deem it a capital offense. If that isn’t sufficient then I say let someone like Trump end all life and let it start over, probably with the bees.
