The photograph is strictly ┬ęcopyright Helmi Flick. To the bottom right of the photograph you can see a picture (taken by me) of Ken and Helmi Flick working together to capture this photograph.

The photograph, above, was taken at a TICA cat show held at a Texas town called Waxahachie. This is about 50 miles south of Dallas. It was a first show for the organisers and it turned a profit, I am told. It was a 2 day show (22nd-23rd November 2008). Please note that this digital image of Induna is a relatively small file size for quicker page loading. The original quality is even more impressive.

It was a pleasure and a priviledge to work with Helmi and Ken at this cat show. On the left is a picture of me working (or resting) with Ken setting up during the day before the show.

There is a considerable amount of work involved. The cat show organisers had allocated a room just off the main show area for Helmi and Ken’s use.

The next cat show for the Flicks is next year in New Jersey (Jan 16-18, 2009 Cherry Hill NJ – TICA Jersey State). They have also worked at an international level. Ken Flick is the author of this article about their trip to Japan in 2005: International Cat Photography, Shooting Cats in Japan.

Helmi and Ken look forward to more international assignments. Interested parties should contact them direct at their email address: helmi [at]
