Best Internet Browsers For Pictures-of-cats.org (PoC)

The best internet browsers for PoC are:

  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Apple Safari

They are very similar in quality. Safari and Chrome are slightly faster than Firefox.

The following are OK:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 11
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 10

poc rendering browsers

The following are not good as they render the website slightly incorrectly (the menus are blue rather then grey/brown:

  • Internet Explorer 9 and lower.

If you use a version of Microsoft Internet Explorer that is 9 or older (i.e. 8, 7 etc.) – please update it by going to:

Thank you very much.

  3. The addition of various popups at the side and bottom crashes my browser (IE on Windows 7) at lunchtime from work. Alas no choice of browser.

I don’t know what caused my problems on PoC a while back when it wouldn’t let me comment, but it went right and I have google chrome as a back up now if needed, so leaving well alone lol

    • Good, Ruth I am pleased. You have a decent computer with reasonably modern software but some people have 5 year old computers with old Internet browsers usually Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 9 and older.

I visit a library that has old computers to check out how the site renders and there are also websites where you can simulate rendering a website in old versions of Internet Explorer. A run-off
