Best picture ever of cops rescuing a kitten trapped in a car?

As someone wrote: You guys rock! NYPD (32nd Precinct) worked as a great team (all seven under vehicle) to rescue a black and white kitten from the undercarriage of this VW car. It makes for the best picture ever that I have seen of police rescuing a cat from a car. The photo comes from the Twitter account of NYPD 32nd Precinct.

The tweet read:

“#NYPD rescued this #kitten trapped in the undercarriage of this vehicle. Not a good place for a #catnap, especially when we are experiencing #CodeBlue. With the help of @NYPDSchools, @NYPDSpecialops & Pct Patrol this kitten is safe in a #Harlem #animalrescue #shelter.”

We are told by popsugar.co.uk that the driver stopped for the kitten in the road. He got out of the car and could not see the kitten. He got back in and continued driving to West 135th Street and 7th Avenue in Harlem — about 18 miles away. All the time the kitten was clinging onto the car’s undercarriage (chassis).

The driver eventually heard meows, stopped and flagged down a police officer. Then more came and voila, a full squad of cops where there to do the rescue. And what a cat rescue. One of the best.

So you want to see the kitten? Here she/he is:
