My Black and White Dwarf Persian Cat

My Black and White Dwarf Persian Cat

I have a 15 year old female black and white dwarf Persian cat. She is the sweetest little girl ever. The only real problem that I notice is that she needs her eyes cleaned regularly. She's declawed and can't jump very high so she can't get on any counters or the table. I know that she won't be with us much longer and wish that I could find a couple more dwarfs. They are the most loving cats ever. Because they can't do normal things like the other cats they depend on you more for lifting them up on the couch or bed and she's vocal when she hungry or wants a treat. If you know of someone that has dwarf Persian please let me know.

Hi Karen Thanks for sharing. Your cat looks really sweet. I changed the title to make your posting more visible to the search engines. Hope that is OK. You might try the Dwarf Cat Association.

No such thing
by: Anonymous

Just so you know...there is no such thing as a DWARF Persian or a MICRO Persian! They are just smaller than the breed standard. They are just a Persian.

by: a.janel@yahoo.com

Karen I'd love to talk to you!I have a diluted calico female dwarf persian named Tessie and love her more than anything! She's 2 years old and her parents were fairly large.I found her from a breeder in Tennesse called country critters. She was born into a litter of three(unfortunately one had died)Her brother was a black and white(tuxedo)and they were the same size as kittens.I don't know what size the brother turned out be.I have tried to inquire but the breeder had sold her farm and moved.Tressie is my shadow and follows me eveywhere I go,I wonder if that's their nature? Are you from Dearborn MI.? I live in Georgia but originally from Westland Mi.My email is a.janel@yahoo.com Please contact me so we talk more!

Re: Claws
by: Karen

Thanks and yes I do agree they should have claws, and she along with several other cats we've adopted throughout the years had already been declawed. We have always taken in declawed cats because we didn't think it was fair to have them housed with cats that had claws and they required special attention. We have have since taken in a small kitten that was tied up to a tree and left to die and we couldn't give him up. He has grow to be a beautiful big boy and he still has his claws. He loves playing outside, climbing trees, and Wrestling with our Bullboxer and 2 Griffonese puppies. We still have Miss Kitti, she's almost 17 now and a 13 year old silver persian and her name is Sasha. We have our hands full at the moment, so we won't be getting anymore for a while.

unfortunate that she's been de-clawed =[
by: Anonymous

she does indeed look beautiful, but i think de-clawing a cat is cruel and has probably stopped her from doing even more normal cat type things for herself. please dont de-claw your future cats, let them be able to play and climb as nature intended =]
