Before I start I will admit that I have made the presumption that this sweet, overweight cat is coming for his food. It looks that way. He’s well motivated.
Once again it is a very short video. It reminds us how athletic domestic cats can be even when they are overweight. This boy (could equally be a female) really does run quickly. He is very keen to meet the person who made the video. Perhaps he just wants to meet up again and there is no food. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that the video maker brought some treats along which has encouraged this cat to run so enthusiastically towards him/her. The cat has a sweet meow-greeting too.

Talking about cat obesity can be difficult for both veterinarians and owners
Omgosh what a blob, and so surprising the speed it could run. Michael’s right that this is an amazing example of a cat’s athletic ability even if obese. Well, this one’s anyway. Some of the twitter comments were funny: “thought it was a baby hippo… fat kangeroo, etc”. Strange that many spelled the word thick like thicc.
