Bobcat Attacks Turkey Hunter

It is good to see the hunted become the hunter especially when the normally hunted animal is a bobcat and the hunter is the human. Bobcats are heavily exploited (‘harvested’) for their glorious fur and have been for decades. God, I dream of an army of cats hunting and attacking sport hunters and devouring them! An interesting aspect of this video is that the infamous Kendall Jones, an attractive, young, female, avid sport hunter said about this video:

Forget this!!!!! Shoot first, scream later!

She’s a wimp with a high-powered rifle, masquerading as a liberated feminist.

Kendall Jones has over 800,000 Facebook likes on her FB page despite being  despised and and admired equally. I guess the controversy surrounding her draws people in. She’s news.

America is divided on how to deal with sport hunting. Sport hunters always defend what they do by saying that it improves conservation of wildlife via the taxes they pay in buying hunting gear and licenses to hunt et cetera.

It is paradoxical that under their argument killing animals saves animals. It does not make sense. Well, it can only make sense in a distorted, mad world created by humans.

If we lived in balance with wildlife and if wildlife was not persecuted so relentlessly by humans, in one way or another, then the argument that sport hunting conserves wildlife would not hold up.

Turn the clock back 200 years and it could not be said that sport hunting was good for wildlife conservation. That much used but erroneous argument can only make sense when species are becoming extinct due to human activities. It is a desperate, crazy last measure to save wildlife.

My theory is that sport hunting has its origins in fear. It has been argued that humans are herbivores. As herbivores we were at the mercy of large predatory animals. That no longer applies but killing animals for survival and protection has become killing animals for pleasure and entertainment, justified in a perverted way by saying it helps wildlife.

It’s a mad world as most of us realise.

  1. Looks like it was the camera operator who got attacked by the bobcat. At least we know they weren’t intending to hurt the cat otherwise they would have been aiming their gun at it instead of their camera.

    • Yes, it was a guy hunting turkeys and then attacked by a bobcat. It is rare for a bobcat to attack people for obvious reasons. Perhaps the cat didn’t like the human shooting his fellow wild animals 😉 .
