Bravecto, Credelio, Nexgard and Simparica flea treatments might cause seizures in cats and dogs

CBS News tell us that cat owners should be aware that Bravecto, Credelio, Nexgard and Simparica flea and tick treatments might put cats (and dogs) at an increased risk of neurological adverse reactions including seizures, ataxia (disjointed movement due to loss of control) and tremors.

No isoxazoline class for these kittens

This is a heads up. These drugs are of the isoxazoline class. I’ll presume that there are other products using this type of insecticide.

The FDA recommends that cat and dog owners ask their veterinarian about these products if they are being used or are to be used.

CBS News does not tell us when this troubling information came to light. The discovery probably came to light from complaints to veterinarians that are too numerous to ignore.
