This is my lovely girl Prudence, (Pru for short). She has been living with me since last November.

Pru was an ex breeding queen & is now six years old.

She's a lovely companion, very vocal, extremely nosey & loves her food!!!!

She is totally addicted to her catnip bag and her favourite mouse toy.

I love her to bits & she has settled in so well with me.

Pru is a Cream Brit with slight Tabby markings (rings on her tail). Greatly resembles Garfield!!!

Adopting a retired cat

Hi Lyn. What a lovely Brit she is! It is my impression that BS generally has a stable character, but also has their own ideas about things. Prudence sounds like a real good cat and I'm sure she is happy with the special attention she gets from you now. At just 6 she still young and has many good years ahead.

And for others thinking about purebred cats, you may consider adopting a retired queen or stud from a breeder. Even though the breeder may not have the room for the cat anymore, any responsible breeder will still take care that it is placed in a good home. You'll get a cat with top qualities (at least if it's a good breeder), maybe even one that has bred new champions. And sometimes you'll just have to pay a nominal charge, just big enough to assure the breeder that you are serious about it.

Great Looking Cat

Hi Lyn, love Prudence. She looks like a classic Brit SH.

Her coat colour seems to be fawn. Am I correct, do you know?
