Can you identify this man seen on security cameras luring a cat with food in Ealing, London, UK? The enquiry is part of an investigation to try and find a person or persons who, it is believed, has been killing cats in London and elsewhere (some earlier posts are listed at base of page).

Note: I realise that the majority of PoC visitors are Americans in America. However, if you can spread the word it might help. Thanks.

Boudicca Rising of the cat rescue organisation South Norwood Animal Rescue & Liberty (SNARL) is asking people to try and identify this man who has been captured on a security camera trying to lure a cat with food. She and her organisation want to hear from anyone about this man because he appears to have been engaged in similar behaviour concerning other cats.

“His appearance matches the rough descriptions we’ve obtained by other people who’ve witnessed similar behaviour in and around incidents….Whether he’s the person or one of the persons we are looking for or not, he needs to be identified as he was clearly trying to lure this cat, who falls into the demographic of animals killed (pretty or unusual looking, in excellent condition which we acknowledge could also be the type of cat which is worth money and therefore tempting for thieves).” – SNARL

As I understand it, this request is linked to the very long-standing story about the Croydon Cat Killer. You may remember that local police washed their hands of the investigation some time ago having concluded that the many cats killed in the area and elsewhere had been killed and mutilated by wild animals. As I further understand it, SNARL, who were heavily involved in the investigation in assisting the police, remain quite sure that the cats were killed and mutilated by a person or persons. They are therefore continuing their investigation. Hence this request on Facebook.

In my effort to assist I have reproduced still photographs from the security camera on this page. I have tried to enhance the pictures. I also include the video.

SNARL say that the car featured in the video is a Toyota Yaris Verso. The video was recorded on 30 December 2018 in Ealing, London. People who can assist should please call SNARL on 07961 030064 or 07957 830490. Your call will be treated with the utmost confidence.
