Lynne Marie Newman lives in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Canada. She loves cats so much that she has turned her home into a glitzy, chintzy celebration of the domestic cat. It is wall-to-wall cat stuff. I am sure that all the world’s cat paraphernalia is here. There is no more wall space. No more floor space. No more space. She started 56 years ago.
And she is has nine cat tattoos. Not much space left on her either.
There is no dust! Wow, that means a lot work dusting because it must be a nightmare dusting her home.
“Having cats, cleanliness is very important to me…”
THE PHOTOS ARE BY THE CHRONICLE HERALD PHOTOGRAPHER I BELIEVE WHO MAY BE THE REPORTER: Sharon Montgomery-Dupe.
Fortunately her husband, Jim, likes cats too.
“Jim would come in and say, ‘Look what I found’ and I’d say, ‘I’ve got two of them!”
The Chronicle Herald journalist managed to get a lot of nice quote from her so I’ve used them to tell the story in her own words.
“I think I was born loving cats. I can’t even explain how much I love cats and I’ve been that way right through my entire life. I only wear cat things, including cat shoes, cat sneakers and cat pins.
When you walk into my house you can’t see any walls. Everything in my home is cats from top to bottom, from ceiling to floor. Everything. The whole house. I don’t know what would be out there that I don’t have. If anyone knows of anything, though, please let me know and I’ll get it. Everything is cat, even my mascara. Even all the cat toys are cats too.”
