The video explains it all but I’ll add a few words. This an interesting cat abandonment for two reasons, (a) the woman used the donations box outside the shelter! and (b) there is a sign on the wall besides the front door which reads:
WARNING: Do not leave any animals here unattended. You will be charged with animal abandonment and or animal cruelty. Please come back during our business hours.

Comment: The woman seems to go to the front door and moves away. Did she change her mind? She did not read the sign warning her that she was about to commit a crime! Apparently this shelter has had four abandonments in the last two years leaving them without the information they need to better care for the cats. This cat is a beautiful blue (gray). It is a shame that the woman did not have the character to front up and go inside. She must have felt guilty about her actions.
