Cat being released from under metal door by firefighters looks horrible but it ends well

Chicago firefighters rescued this cat from under a metal door (nice job). How the cat got his head stuck under the door is remarkable because it seems impossible to end up in that dire state. But there the cat was, firmly stuck, and it looks quite horrible because the firefighters are hammering at a chisel to chip away at the concrete floor inches from the cat. You can see a terrible disaster happening. The cat is obviously terrified.

But, by some miracle or just plain precise and persistent work, the firefighters released the cat. The cat did not wait around to thank them! He ran as fast as he could which in itself presents fresh dangers because this is on a street where there is traffic and the panicked cat could do something silly and could certainly endanger himself all over again.

Yes, it is quite possible that the cat was injured. It looks terrifying to me. I just hope that he/she is okay.
