How did this cat end up hanging onto a clothesline about 25 feet above a concrete floor in a block of apartments? The precarious situation looked destined to cause injury because cats falling from this sort of height have less time to brake their fall by fanning out their legs. They twist and land on all fours but at a higher speed than if they fell further.
But….a sensible man with a backpack comes to the rescue and perfectly places himself under the falling cat. Just perfect. And it had to be 😉 The video comes from the image section (imgur.com) of Reddit.com and is on The Dodo. Not sure who found it first.
Sure enough, at the critical moment, the photog lost the shot and panned off. How not satisfying.
Yes, and in the next shot we see the cat inside the rucksack. I hope and I have presumed that the cat fell directly into it!
That’s an amazing story where quick thinking and patience really worked for this cat’s benefit. I’ve never before seen a cat dangling from a clothesline.
