Cat on LSD Video Should Be Removed

Cat on LSD video should be removed. It is horrible and sick. It serves no purpose to have this video on the internet other than to feed the minds of voyeurs of animal cruelty.

To me, and I hope that it is not just me, this video is objectionable. I believe that YouTube should have taken it down a long time ago but it has been seen by more than 9 million people. They are obviously fascinated with the idea of a cat being given LSD. For an animal advocate the video is hard to watch. It is clearly a form of cat cruelty. I have no idea about the reason for this experiment.

AS CAN BE SEEN THE VIDEO HAS BEEN REMOVED! THIS IS AN UPDATE ON SEPT 2018.

It is surprising to me that YouTube lets it remain on their website. This is because only recently I received notification from the Google AdSense team to say that one of my very old articles about pictures of animal abuse was in violation of their policies. The article that I had written was a criticism of pictures of animal abuse. It was a stark criticism. I objected to it and criticized people who upload pictures of animal abuse but nonetheless they objected to it and it can only be the case that they assessed the page through what is called a “bot”. It was not assessed manually by a person. No matter what I did, even when I deleted the page the “bot” still objected to it! It must have seen the cached page. I have requested Google search to remove it from their search results. It was a good page and I am disappointed.

This video is far, far worse and there it is for all to see and to fascinate people. Personally I don’t find it fascinating. I find it ugly and unpleasant. It is clearly very cruel and I’d say pointless.

As one commenter to the video said: when people take LSD they know what they’re doing and they know what to expect. They also do it of their own volition. It is their free choice. If people want to mess up their brain let them do it as long as they don’t harm people or burden the health services.

But for the cat this must have been a terrifying experience. He or she had no idea what was going on and it must have been incredibly stressful and fearful. We don’t know what happened afterwards. We don’t know whether the cat survived the experiment or not or whether the cat was permanently damaged. It is clearly completely unacceptable and it should not be on the Internet.

P.S. You may have noticed the ebaumsworld’ at the bottom right of the video. This must be a reference to eBaum’s World which is a humor/entertainment website that is part of the Literally Media family. ‘Humor’!? I don’t think so. Sick more like.

Please search using the search box at the top of the site. You are bound to find what you are looking for.

  1. Yes, it’s cruel. In my days, I experimented with LSD and Mescaline. They are different. Mescaline is more of a body high than hallucinogen. LSD, when taken at low doses is perception altering. High doses can induce panic, and there is almost nothing worse than a bad trip. For an animal, even a mild trip would be frightening. As I recall, strychnine (toxic poison) is used in creating the drug and can cause temporary neurological disorder that can make you feel really sick and cause seizures like what I saw on the video. Scientists tend to overdose, so I bet that happened and the cat was feeling like it was going to die. That and bad tripping is more than enough not to ever do this to any animal. Very cruel. If they ever do to themselves what they do to animals, they’d never do it again.

    • Thanks Albert for your thoughts. My immediate thought was that it is voyeurism to put this on the internet. It feeds those who want to be titillated by what happens when a cat is on LSD.

  2. Any cruelty, whether to a person or an animal should never be put on any social media. I much prefer the company of my animals to that of most humans! Animal are honest and if they don’t like you, they let you know. People on the other hand are supposed to have brains to figure out what is not acceptable in society.
