The photograph shows Little Shelter’s manager Dianna Cutolo with Chester and Lucy, the two cats who were adopted from the shelter and then relinquished to another shelter in Tennessee, hundreds of miles away, about four years later. The contract forbade this behaviour in the adopters and they are liable to a $1000 penalty which the shelter intends to enforce.
