Cat tells off dog for making a mess

A cat tells off a dog for making a mess. The cat looks like a purebred American Shorthair (a good and very longstanding breed) and my guess is that the dog is a companion to the cat notwithstanding he/she is being told off, or at least they live together. Being disgusted by her dog companion’s wanton mess-making and general all round uncouth behavior she scolds him in no uncertain terms (I don’t know whether the cat is male of female but have chosen female arbitrarily).

The video is interesting because why would a cat be so upset at a dog kicking water out of a bucket? It’s as if the cat is aware of the dog’s bad behavior in the eyes of a human and enforcing the housekeeping rules. I don’t have a fancy answer for this intriguing feline behavior.
