Cat with neurological condition seeks a good home — 5 Comments

  1. I am going to point out that many veterinarians underestimate or still say animals don’t experience pain like we do.
I see spinal issues in the future even with a cats being so flexible. This is the dilemma of looking at horse with a broken leg. 9/10th of the horse is still healthy but it will never have a reasonable quality of life unless you have the ten’s of thousands to fix it. And even then there is no guarantee.
Based on the few details here euthanasia seems a reasonable consideration.

    • You make good points as usual. I agree that it is far from certain that this cat does not feel discomfort.

  2. I am very afraid for him that he will go to an adopter who may exploit him. He needs a home that has experience to handle special needs cats. His condition could worsen, he could develop other problems, and the wrong adopter could dump him again when it is not so funny any more.

    • Very well said Michele. He does does a specialist home and as you non-exploitative. Someone could try and make some video money from this cat. And as you also say there may be associated health problems in the future.
