Thankyou
by: Jessica

Thanks guys for your helpful comments!
@Ruth, my cat is overly large and my neighbours dog is smallish, hence it being a staffy. Thats why i thought it would be slighly possible. But thankyou. Shall keep you updated. (:

Just a dream
by: Ruth (Monty’s Mom)

I had a dream once that Monty’s father was a black dachshund. It seemed to explain a lot! I’m unsure as to whether there actually are black dachshunds. However, now that I’m not dreaming, I’m positive that no dog, of any color, shape or size mated with Monty’s mother. Cats and dogs might have a go at it, but no offspring is going to be produced.

You can’t watch a cat every minute. If she’s pregnant there’s a boy cat involved.

Well nigh impossible, but …….
by: Ruth

My first thought was that a tom cat must have got into your house and mated with your queen cat.
I really don’t see how a cat and a dog can mate as a dog’s penis swells for a while after entry to a bitch’s vagina which I’d reckon would be anatomically impossible or at the very least very uncomfortable for a little cat.
A tom cat’s penis is the right size and has prickles on to stimulate ovulation in the queen as he withdraws. A dog couldn’t do that.
I can’t believe that kitten/puppies can ever come of this.
But strange things do happen sometimes and I’ll be very interested to hear the end of the story

IMPOSSIBLE Pregnancy
by: Jo Singer

Hi there,

Dogs and cats “breeding” cannot produce offspring. DNA will prevent that.

I have to agree with Elisa that it is more that likely a false pregnancy, OR.. there could be a Tomcat roaming the neighborbood that you have not observed.

Best thing to do it to take her to your veterinarian and have her checked out. Then, if she is NOT pregant, unless you are planning a breeding with a registered male Siamese, have her spayed.

Good luck to you. Sorry, but I don’t think you will be making any national TV shows with your kitty.

Take care!

False pregnancy
by: Elisa

OMG! It’s probably a false pregnancy. I’d keep a diary along with photos detailing everything because if there’s even a chance this is real and you can prove it you’ll get a book deal and network interviews. I’d be saving up for a c-section as I don’t believe a cat could deliver the offspring without help.
