Cats rescued from tornadoes but their owner did not want them back — 9 Comments

  1. I think this family is in shock after losing everything they own and just aren’t thinking. They should have been offered foster care. There are lots of people wanting to foster the tornado pets. The ones with destroyed homes are being put up in motels and perhaps 6 cats wouldn’t be allowed. I really think they’ll regret the decision to give up their cats when things calm down. I am working with one girl who has hundreds of dollars in vet and boarding bills. There are agencies that are supposed to cover these, as she’s living in a motel room since her home was destroyed. It’s still a mess with dead animals still being recovered.

  2. To me, it doesn’t matter what excuses they have for relinquishing. If they had considered the felines as family members before the storms, they would be thrilled with a reunion.
So, these poor traumatized cats need to be in better homes and with better caretakers now.

  3. I believe that is one of the so much vital info for me. And i’m happy reading your article.
But should statement on some normal things,
The site style is great, the articles is in reality excellent :
    D. Good job, cheers

  4. I think it’s shocking that those cats survived the tornado and now are unwanted, you’d think the owner would have been ecstatic that they were safe.
What does ‘they think it best he was rehomed’ mean? Best for who? Not the poor cats for sure, trauma after trauma, the tornado, going to a Shelter and now either stuck there or if lucky, to face yet another trauma getting used to a new home.
If the people are homeless they could have surely asked for the cats to be cared for until they are able to take them back.

    • I hate to be tough on people but it just looks wrong. It does not make sense. To think what the cats have gone through: tornadoes and now split up and placed in strange homes (maybe). Not good.
