Chinese firefighters save five kittens from burnt out building

On 10:30 on December 8th, the 30th building of Jiqing Street in Zhongshan District (Northeast China) was in flames and firefighters dealt with it. Later the firefighters returned to the burnt out building, I guess to make checks, and they heard the cries of a kitten. Apparently there were five frozen kittens but the video shows one. The kittens are young sub-adults which allowed them to survive under harsh conditions.

The video shows both fireman and kitten covered in ice and snow. The kitten cries out. We are told that the kittens have been reunited with their owner (Beijing News).

When the firefighters responded to the blaze temperatures were down to -6 degrees celsius. Adult cats are very resilient.

  2. It’s good to see a positive story about cats in China. It really is.

Their miaows, as usual woke up my two. Once I show them the tablet, they seem to lose their alarm.
