City of Rochelle, Illinois learned from residents that trapping and killing feral cats is unacceptable. The city administrators had posted instructions to residents to trap feral cats using their traps and to take them to a veterinarian for euthanasia. There was uproar and even the vet refused to participate. The city has learned a lesson and changed their policy on dealing with feral cats.
