This black beauty was found as a stray and is currently in the care of PAWS Humane Society in Rockford, Illinois. Kendra is partially blind and declawed on all four paws. She had plenty to be angry about when she was turned over to the Society.

After some time in foster care, Kendra feels safe and is ready to love again. She’s gone from a hissy cat who hid into an affectionate girl who will hop in your lap and purr.
Kendra would do best in a home with no other pets where she’ll get all of the attention. Applications for adoption are being accepted here. PAWS is guessing Kendra is between two and three years old.
PAWS is unique because they take in animals that have special needs – whether they be medical or social – and work with them to place them in homes where they will get the extra care required.
They are also known to help in emergencies and recently took in cats and dogs as part of relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey. PAWS was also the lead agency in a large scale hoarding situation of 150 cats in December of 2013.
In 2016 PAWS placed 400 cats into loving homes.
I chose to write on Kendra because of the expression she’s giving in her photo. If she could talk, I feel Kendra would have an interesting story to tell. You can keep up with her journey to find a new home on her Facebook thread.

Yes, Melissa. She was re-homed last Christmas. I believe that she is a nice caring home:

A good ending. I hope she has a really nice life from now on. She deserves it. Thanks for asking.
