Today I have written about Vincent van Gogh because it is the day when he shot himself in the chest with a revolver which injured him fatally. He died two days later with his beloved brother present. The question was whether he ever lived with a domestic cat. There is no evidence that he did. The picture on this page is of a letter sent by him to his brother which is headed with one of his sketches and in the sketch is a cat walking from left to right in the foreground. There is no information, to the best of my knowledge, about Vincent van Gogh’s relationship with the domestic cat! At the time of his death he was penniless and pretty well unknown. It is a great shame that you did not find the recognition that he deserved during his lifetime.
