Disha Patani shows off her adorable kitten on Instagram reports mid-day.com. She has captioned it “keeetyyyy”. My translation: ‘kitty’. There is a bit of a trend for actresses and singers (any celebrity in fact) adopting a cute companion animal as a publicity prop. I am being cynical but there is an element of self-promotion about this. If you have millions of followers you have to feed them with news and what better to fulfill that demand that a cute cat!?
Disha Patani is a well-known Indian actress. She began her career with the Telugu film Loafer (2015), opposite Varun Tej, and followed it by playing the leading lady in the Hindi sports film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016) and the action film Baaghi 2 (2018). She has a very lively Instagram account (22.7 million followers) which provides her with platform to show off a new cat companion, a sweet looking creature which appears to me to be a purebred pointed doll-face Persian (Himalayan). I am happy to be corrected on that observation. Persian cats are by far the most popular purebred cat in India perhaps because the breed has a longer history than most as a purebred and for many years was the most popular in the US (perhaps still is).
