It depends upon the circumstances and whether the cat is domestic or feral whether a cat buries his faeces or not. Domestic cats can tend to do it because they feel subordinate to their human companion but if the cat does not feel that he might not bury his poop. My cats didn’t. I wonder if in very friendly households it is more likely that a domestic cat will not bury his feces and conversely whether in less friendly households the domestic cat feels less secure and therefore more subordinate and therefore more likely to bury his poop.
