Cats do feel the cold at a certain low temperature like any other warm-blooded animal. They can shiver when hypothermic. They are tolerant animals however and stoic in their ability to withstand extremes of temperature. Their coats provide excellent insulation. But if they have to live consistently very low temperatures they will suffer tremendously and sometimes perish. How many feral cats die in extremely low temperature conditions and we don’t know about it?
Note: Some older videos on this page were hosted on Vimeo. That account has now been retired, so a few video blocks may appear blank. Thanks for understanding — there’s still plenty of cat content to enjoy!
