Cats' personal space - it is a requirement

Cats demand personal space like people

The photograph pretty much says it all. You can see clearly that each individual cat although friendly with each other demand a certain amount of space around themselves which is an average about 1 m. That also is clearly seen in the photograph. It depends somewhat on whether the relationship is male to male or male to female or female to female. The closer relationships, interestingly, are formed between male cats in multi-cat households and they tend to require less personal space.
