Sphynx cats don’t sweat except through pawpads like other cats

Sphynx cats don't have eccrine sweat glands except on their pawpads.

As for all other domestic cats Sphynx cats don’t sweat perspiration from their body as a whole but solely from their paw pads. Also like other cats they have specialiased apocrine sweat glands all over their body which produce a fluid whose scent may be involved in sexual attraction. The oil on their body which needs to be washd off is primarily sebum from their sebaceous glands.
